Our Cinema & Theatres
The Sidewalk Cinema features two state-of-the-art screening rooms designed for maximum comfort and cinematic fidelity. Cinema A is our flagship 100-seat theatre featuring premium digital projection, Dolby surround sound, and comfortable luxury seating. Cinema B offers an intimate 18-seat viewing room, perfect for small groups, private screenings, and community discussions.
The Sidewalk Bar & Lounge
No movie experience is complete without refreshments. The Sidewalk Bar is a full-service lounge open to both ticket holders and walk-in visitors. We serve a curated list of draft beers, wines, and signature cinematic cocktails, along with gourmet popcorn featuring our custom seasonings bar, locally-sourced candy, and cinema snacks.
Location & Parking
We are located at 1821 2nd Ave N, Birmingham, AL 35203, in the basement level of the historic Lyric Theatre building. Convenient parking is available in the McWane Science Center parking deck on 19th Street, or through metered street parking along 2nd Avenue North (free after 6:00 PM and on weekends).
Accessibility Services
Sidewalk is dedicated to providing an accessible experience for all film lovers. Both theatres feature wheelchair-accessible spaces and companion seating. Assisive listening headphones and closed-captioning receiver devices are available at the box office free of charge.
